It's been a really, really long time since I was remotely active here...I promise one of these days I will do consistently better but until then my journal history will continue to appear manic. I'll be where I'm at. I'll do mine. You do yours. See ya'll on tha flip-side.

Neat. We have a president that doesn't make up words in the middle of major speeches. That was a good one yesterday if I do say so myself. Although much of the world has yet to see large-scale change, I wanted to take a few seconds so say that the Hope effect is starting to tweak some Americans' outlooks. Even here in the usually insignificant state of Iowa, democrats have mustered up enough political capital to let us homos get married. Neat.

I'm not saying there will be a Palestine next week or that genocide in Africa is almost over. I just want those still suffering to keep Hope close at hand when things get rough. I know it's cheesy but I think I heard Oprah say back in the '90s that sometimes in order for a person to soar, they have to bounce; and that means hitting the bottom and hitting it hard.

Okay, I won't rant any more.

In unrelated news ... I was arrested ( ) and fired from my job in early February so I've been rearranging my page whenever I get depressed. There are so many of you who have no idea how much your kind words have meant to me. I literally do not have time to thank you all personally but I wanted to let everyone know that even the smallest kind comments make a big difference...and I'm sure it's not just me so please don't stop. You don't even have to do it for me -- make someone's day and leave them a note!
